Dr. Beverly Hall, owner and operator of VRC, is a licensed veterinarian with over 20 years of experience. As a result of her rehabilitation work with surgeons and physical therapists, Dr. Hall saw a need for a facility dedicated exclusively to rehabilitation for animals and founded VRC.

Highlights of her professional training:

• Among the first veterinarians to achieve certification in Canine Physical Rehabilitation through the University of Tennessee

• Certified by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society

• A graduate of Cleveland Chiropractic and Options for Animals in Animal Chiropractic

• Completed training in advanced traditional Chinese veterinary medicine and herbology at the Chi Institute

She is committed to education and enjoys speaking to groups about physical rehabilitation and holistic veterinary medicine, as well as backpacking with three children and two dogs. She has been unable to convince the cat that backpacking is fun.

Carol L. Nett, Director of Weight Management & Conditioning, was born in Kansas and grew up in Klamath Falls, Oregon and Boise, Idaho before moving to Seattle. She attended the University of Washington, where she received both a B.A. and an M.B.A.

After 20 years in the business world, she decided to follow her heart. She graduated in 1995 from Pierce College in Tacoma with an AA degree with honors in Veterinary Technology, and then gained practical experience at several veterinary clinics.

When two of her own dogs began to suffer from arthritis, she became aware of the limitations of treatment available to her family vet, who could only offer medications. Ms. Nett explored the possibilities of rehabilitative therapy. She decided to pursue a practictioner certification from the University of Tennesssee program in canine rehabiilitation, and completed the program in 2006.

She has been interested in canine nutrition for over ten years, after using a macrobiotic diet to support one of her dogs who underwent chemotherapy for osteosarcoma. Her special interest is in working with older pets to guarantee that their "golden years" are active and pain-free.

Veterinary physical rehabilitation is the application of physical therapy techniques to animals. Here in Washington, only licensed veterinarians and supervised technicians are allowed to provide these services. Licensing issues restrict the use of the term physical therapy to human physical therapists. Hence, the term veterinary physical rehabilitation. Our practice is limited to physical rehabilitation and aquatic therapy. You will be referred to your regular veterinarian for general care.
